Surprise!

It's amazing going to youth group/worship practice and then finding out something completely different.

I had the great honor to witness the engagement of my sister and her boyfriend Erik Walton. Boy was it a hoot. Happiness overwhelmed me and I couldn't do anything but smile, act extremely weird, and give them a big hug. I knew it was coming at some point but most definitely wasn't expecting it to happen May 10th of 2017. Gosh, I can't explain to you how ecstatic I am! They're such an adorable couple, went through so much over the years, good and bad, got through it, and now to experience this wonderful time is great!

I want to congratulate you two! I am so happy and proud to have Erik as a soon to be brother in law and I think you are the best man for my sister. She couldn't have found anyone better.

I know you two went through a lot during your relationship, you've grown, matured into great young adults and I have no idea what to say anymore because I don't want to repeat the same thing over and over again so...I will say one last thing.

Hannah, I congratulate you on everything you've done. The great guy you've found and decided to marry. I am so proud to have you as a sister and couldn't ask for anyone better. Pray that I find someone as good as Erik...

Erik, as I said above, I congratulate you on everything you've made it through. And also for deciding to join the military. That's awesome and I wish I could too. I'm so happy to have you as a soon to be brother in law and can't wait to spend years with you and Hannah. Yes, you have to deal with me. Sorry.

I LOVE YOU BOTH SO EXTREMELY MUCH! GOD BLESS YOU WITH MANY GREAT YEARS TO COME! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
