True, False? Love, or Hate?
Over the course of this summer, I've been going over how to understand the difference between a real and fake online site using the criteria of the Santa Barbara College CARS Checklist.
I managed to stumble upon the blog The Tree Octopus and couldn't help but smile. The creativity someone could have to make a blog like that mesmerizes me and oh, how I wish I could be that creative. Not to mention, looking through the other blogs, just boggled my mind more! The blog is not connected to any school or organization. Other than a very interesting and imaginary University which seems to be located in Scottland in relation to haggis? Quite interesting credentials if I may say so myself....Of course, the truth behind such a creative blog is not real but I have to give the writer a thumbs up.
I also managed to look at another blog and it was literally crazy. Let me tell you why. I've been thinking about what courses I should take next year and one class I want to take is Dave Ramsey's Financial Math. It was completely crazy while looking through Eva's blog, 5 Tips for Teen Bloggers, I looked at her About Us section. She stated how she and her mom took the Dave Ramsey course, I don't know if it was the exact one I want to take, and how helpful it was for her financially. She is exact in her writing and cares about what she's telling her fellow fans. She has inspired and motivated me to take the course and until that day, I will wait desperately. Eva not only helps kids financially through her blog but also with so much more like college, shopping, jobs and even the best ways to make your blog grow. She has been an inspiration to me!
I read this piece on Eva's blog as well and I loved it! I still have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do as a career and just that fact scares me. But as my parents have told me I have three years to plan and find out. I pray and pray that the Lord will show me the way but I'm still young so why overwhelm myself just yet? As Tirzah did, I will stick with the things I love to do in high school (and maybe someday college) and slowly learn and decide what it is the Lord wants me to do, what I want to do. My parents say the Lord calls you to do the thing you're most scared of, the thing you're nowhere close to good at. And in this way, I'll have to rely on him and I could conquer the world. Amazing!
Continued prays and God Bless!!
