True, False? Love, or Hate?
Over the course of this summer, I've been going over how to understand the difference between a real and fake online site using the criteria of the Santa Barbara College CARS Checklist.
I managed to stumble upon the blog The Tree Octopus and couldn't help but smile. The creativity someone could have to make a blog like that mesmerizes me and oh, how I wish I could be that creative. Not to mention, looking through the other blogs, just boggled my mind more! The blog is not connected to any school or organization. Other than a very interesting and imaginary University which seems to be located in Scottland in relation to haggis? Quite interesting credentials if I may say so myself....Of course, the truth behind such a creative blog is not real but I have to give the writer a thumbs up.
I also managed to look at another blog and it was literally crazy. Let me tell you why. I've been thinking about what courses I should take next year and one class I want to take is Dave Ramsey's Financial Math. It was completely crazy while looking through Eva's blog, 5 Tips for Teen Bloggers, I looked at her About Us section. She stated how she and her mom took the Dave Ramsey course, I don't know if it was the exact one I want to take, and how helpful it was for her financially. She is exact in her writing and cares about what she's telling her fellow fans. She has inspired and motivated me to take the course and until that day, I will wait desperately. Eva not only helps kids financially through her blog but also with so much more like college, shopping, jobs and even the best ways to make your blog grow. She has been an inspiration to me!
I read this piece on Eva's blog as well and I loved it! I still have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do as a career and just that fact scares me. But as my parents have told me I have three years to plan and find out. I pray and pray that the Lord will show me the way but I'm still young so why overwhelm myself just yet? As Tirzah did, I will stick with the things I love to do in high school (and maybe someday college) and slowly learn and decide what it is the Lord wants me to do, what I want to do. My parents say the Lord calls you to do the thing you're most scared of, the thing you're nowhere close to good at. And in this way, I'll have to rely on him and I could conquer the world. Amazing!
Continued prays and God Bless!!

A Very Weird Story I Read
So I had the chance to read a short story called Meat. A popular story, I guess, that many people enjoy reading. When, in reality, it was nothing but confusion for me. Until I made a connection. You see, I was reading as if the two beings talking were human and the "meat" creatures were some otherworldly creature. When its the complete opposite. The "meat" beings are the humans and the two things talking are of another world.
And so, the story started to make a little more sense. The aliens discovered humans and called us nothing but meat. How can meat talk, sing? Meat, capable of thinking?! And they asked themselves the question who wants to talk to talking meat? So, therefore, they threw us to the sidelines on the assumption we are incapable of thinking, of having intelligence.
It makes me wonder, how can someone pass biased standards upon another person, without first looking at themselves? Were the aliens so prideful and arrogant that no other race, especially "meat", could be of any substance? Or were they scared because the "meat" truly was intelligent? Maybe even more so than the aliens. Yet in the end, another race is welcomed back into the group and called intelligent. Why do they get to decide who is intelligent and not? It is not their job.
You can only discover one's intelligence by first discovering and understanding them.
The very end closed the story with "...Imagine how unbearably, how unutterably cold the Universe would be if one were all alone..." but yet they left the humans all alone.

I Googled Myself
I admit! I googled myself! I can't be the only one who's done this...
As it turns out its hard to find yourself on google or I just did something wrong. Maybe I don't know enough about myself to find myself online. Which would be very sad.
To be honest, since it was hard to find my blog I went about ways I could help to show off my blog. And hopefully gain so more followers. That would be great, feel free to show my blog to some of your friends!
Followers is always great and I would love to write some blogs about hikes and stuff for ya!

The Sun is Shining
Have you ever started writing something as an english assignment or just anything in general and you just don't feel it? You can say the words or put them on paper but its not you. There's nothing in the words. Literally nothing. Well, I have had that problem. Just a few seconds ago to be honest.
I was trying to write something knowing I had to get it done but it didn't sound right. Then you hit that speed bump after erasing everything and wonder what could I possibly write about that means something to me. What do my readers want to hear? What can I write that intrigues the mind? And thats where it all begins. Creativity takes over and the desire to write at least something gets you going. So, one word becomes two and so on and so on. Its almost like it comes so naturally, it just flows from your thoughts and nothing can stop you. I have that feeling right now! Even though this isn't the most intriguing topic. Wow, your brain works in mysterious ways, does it not?
So, I write to you as a person who is interested and enjoys writing to her fellow thinkers what gives you creativity? What pushes you enough to the point where it all just flows out easily? Writing, of course, is one of mine. But also drawing, hiking, ADVENTURE! Life is an adventure. Let your mind run free and be curious. What can I do today? What can I write about today? What can make my heart and mind sing!

A Week of Endurance
I love hiking. The ability to be outside and to keep going even when its hard creates a sense of accomplishment nothing else can bring. Or very few things that is.
The week of June fifth came and the time to push myself to complete the Resurrection Trail came in a heartbeat. At times it was hard to keep going, other times it was nothing but joy while in the end it all ended up being an accomplishment that said "You did it. You kept putting one foot in front of the other even when it was hard. You made it." Nothing beats that feeling.
It all began with the weighing of the backpacks. To hear that your backpack weighs 37 pounds and you have to hike at least 10 miles a day really opens your eyes to the pain you will feel. A little futurism here, go for 20 pounds or less. I started that day with nothing but ease until five miles became seven and seven miles became nine. Pain was oozing out of every pore and I had to keep up the endurance to keep going. And let me tell you, I did! Until I arrived at the camp site with my fellow hikers where we all tore off our backpacks ready for rest. But it didn't end there. First we set up our tents. Finally the two hour nap could begin. We ended the day with seven o'clock chapel which was nothing but a blast. Our speaker was amazing!
The second day is said to be the hardest day. Eleven miles and that was where the elevation was gained. Let me tell you, I had my nerves worked up. I was scarred to death. I thought I was going to die because everyone told me it was the worst day. I stayed up late with worked up nerves for nothing. I can't say it was extremely easy but it wasn't completely hard. It met right in the middle. The first and second day were nothing but keeping up the endurance to go a few more miles and in the end its a lot easier than you thought it would be.
On the third day we hiked just a few miles more and we landed at Swan Lake where we got to rest the rest of the night and also the next day. That day of rest was glorious! I got to sit around relax and hang out with friends. I had the opportunity to thank God for getting me through the first three days and to help us to get through the next two. God sure is good. And all the time God is good.
Waking up at seven o'clock we packed up and headed out for another eight miles. Let me tell you, it was so easy! I loved it because it wasn't to flat and not to steep. It was just right! We settled into our camp and met for our last seven o'clock chapel. Boy, our pastor had nothing but good sermons up his sleeves. He catches the minds of teens but still allows them to think and stay connected. He's a great teacher.
On this day we hiked out. Depression seeped into my veins as I realized this is the end. This is where I cross the finish line and say I did it. This is where I complete the very thing that helps me to stay connected to God and go back to everyday life. I want to thank God for getting me through it. For answering my prayers and helping my dad and friends. I also want to thank the leaders of the group who were continuously encouraging and helpful. Its amazing how much God is with you when your alone in the wild where its quiet, where you can think and pray. Thank God!!!
It was through this trip as well that I discovered I want to be a missionary. I want to spread the word of God to those who don't know it. I want to teach people of the grace and mercy of God. Of all the great things Christ can do for you. I want to be a teacher. So, recently I've been trying to find a good mission trip to go on and how I can raise the money. I will be working hard at a job I'm trying to get, I'm going to mow the lawn for a friend, and try to find other ways I can make money. Donations are totally welcome! I don't want to feel like a needy girl asking everyone under the sun for money but this mission trip is so important to me! I'm hoping to turn it into my career after high school. I have the chance to go to college through the Nazarene Church District to become a missionary. I would love to do it. Spreading the word of God is so important to me and its something I've always done. Either helping kids through rough spots or giving them advice. So I feel this is a good way to truly grow in what I love to do.
Thank you all for reading my blog! Spread the word and know God is good! God Bless!!!

Oh, Brother....
It really sucks when someone you love dearly leaves. It's a bittersweet moment. Of course, you know the person has to leave for the sake of becoming an adult, growing to be a wonderful person, and finding their place in life but it still hurts. Especially when you define the person as family but in reality you're not connected by blood. I believe these relationships play an important part in our lives and sometimes...the person of whom who is not biologically your brother but thought of as one is more connected to you then those who are biological.
Saying goodbye to a brother is the hardest part of all. Including the fact that I have no brother but he has taken the place of the brother I never had. Sort of like the saying "brother from another mother".
This person meant very much to me. Although I will not state his name "brother" will have to do or something along the lines of that.
My brother is a solid rock in faith. He strives to do all things through Christ and may I state he does a mighty fine job at it. He held our youth group together and was a true friend to each and every one of us. God was ready for him to move on with his life and become an even greater person in his faith. And through his process I KNOW he will succeed. I pray for him everyday. God grant him the serenity to accept the people he cannot change; the courage to change the ones he can; and the wisdom to know the difference.
Now, let me fill you in on a bit of background info.
He and I were not friends in the beginning. To tell the truth I was overly jealous of him. I felt he stole my sister away from me and the only way I knew how to deal with it was to treat him with utter disrespect and sharpness. I treated him like crap to say the least.
I highly regret the way I treated him for the first few years but I just couldn't get over myself. I was so ignorant and stupid. I think back now on the years I wasted and regret fills my heart. Knowing now that he treats my sister with nothing but love and respect gives me great joy. Through the slow process of excepting him I soon grew to love him dearly (as a brother, people). He is the brother I never had and I love him very much.
Good luck in your future brother. Stay true to your faith and God will take you far. "But those who trust in the Lord will find strength. They will soar high like wings on eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." - Isaiah 40:31.
God Bless! God knows the plans he has for you.

SUMMER!😝
School is over people! Let's celebrate!
I couldn't be any more relieved of the pain and agony I suffered for 8 months. Phew "oh what a relief it is".
I must say, I am so very happy for all of my wonderful teachers. You guys worked very hard to teach me valuable things to know and to help me grow in life. You guys did a great job and I couldn't be any more thankful. So I say, yet again THANK YOU!! I can't wait to see some of you guys next year!
I learned so much...Algebra 1, I am sorry, but you are useless.
Thanks y'all! Good luck in the future. Be strong to yourself, morals, values and most importantly your faith.
God Bless!
