That First Step

Staying up late with my dad getting ready for a hike! My packs already 18 pounds and still have more to add! Oh, the joys of life and hiking. When June comes and we take that first step onto the Resurrection Trail, the adventure begins! It will be quite the week. Full of faith, fellowship, fatigue and exhaustion. But, think about what it will be like in the end. Taking that last step with great fulfillment.

This trail was brought to me by my wonderful Mother. She knew that I loved the outdoors, especially hiking so she recommended the Resurrection Trail. The Nazarene District holds an event where youth and adults get together sharing their faith and experiences while hiking 8 miles a day for 5 days. 2 of the days being spent at a lake.

In order for us to go on this hike we must raise the money for the travel expences. Getting to Anchorage, finding a ride to get us to the trail and then back. All expenses towards gear and equipment is based on the parents.

In hopes to raise enough money we are fundraising and hopefully getting donations. Any air miles or donations are welcome! It will be put to great use. Kids will get together to share their faith and get to know others. It is an extroidinary experience. A joy ride of adventure, exhileration and so much more! This hike will be amazing and I cannot wait until we get there, to take that first step into the unkown!
